Our Mission
Upon successful completion of the nursing assistant course, the student should be able to:
1. Identify the role and responsibilities of the nursing assistant as a member of the Healthcare team in the home and healthcare facilities.
2. Function safely in the role of a beginning nursing assistant under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
3. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to provide nursing assistant level care to people of various ages, racial and ethnic backgrounds, at home and in healthcare facilities.
4. Meet the requirements for and be eligible to take the required Nurse Aide Competency Exam, passage of which is necessary to be certified as a Nursing Assistant
5. Demonstrate a beginning understanding of the patient's physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
